My niece sent me this pic of her while she was on her honeymoon.  It made me smile.

This photo of my mother, Betty (right, dark swimsuit) and her friend, was the inspiration for my character Adele Pruitt Montgomery in Face Front.  Every time I see this pic, it makes me smile.  I hope it has the same affect on you.

The Christmas Gift

Merry Christmas!

I want to thank all the people who have supported me by purchasing my books.  This Christmas season we were able to use some of the proceeds to sponsor a child in need.

The card he filled out and hung on the tree said he was 10 years old, in need of school uniforms and shoes (I'll bet his mom prompted that entry), and he wanted a basketball and a stocking.

What?  He only asked for a basketball and a stocking?!!!  No video games?  No high dollar Lego sets?  No bike?  Wow!  This kid really touched my heart.

I had a blast shopping for him.  He got his school uniform pieces, and basketball shoes.  Of course, the basketball he requested.  But, I really had fun filling his stocking!  I put everything I could think of in it, Legos, games, candy, knowing he would be so surprised when he opened it because it was so much more than he asked for!

The greatest Christmas gift is when you're able to spoil someone who is so deserving.

Be blessed.

Phil Cooke and me.  My favorite part is, I'm holding his book and he's holding mine.  I'm honored.

Had a great time at Ronald McDonald House in Greenville, SC today!  Team readmilliemoore made dinner for the house of twenty – serving up ten plump rotisserie chickens, twenty pounds of garlic mashed potatoes, a full salad bar, a variety of cookies and lots of fellowship!  Thank you, to my readers and fans, for making this day possible.

Meet Lexii.  She is sixteen years old and dreams of becoming a published author someday.  She was an absolute pleasure to hang out with.  I asked her to join me behind my promo table.  I wanted her to see what if felt like.  I wanted to contribute to her dream.  She's a sweet young lady and I pray God blesses her with her hearts desire!

Thank you to the staff of Barnes & Noble on Woodruff Rd., Greenville, SC.  I appreciate your warm welcome and constant support.  A special thank you to Sandy, Samantha and Joyce.

San Lorenzo Library Book Signing Event

What a fabulous day this turned out to be!  San Lorenzo is the town I grew up in, so it has a special place in my heart.  I got to meet some of the locals and hear about familiar SLZ events. One local even called me a rebel... SLZ Rebel that is.

My parents, my son and daughter-in-law, all three of my sisters, my brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, best friends and family I haven't seen in more than fifteen years showed up.

We sold some books, shared some laughs and absolutely enjoyed every minute of it.

Thank you to the San Lorenzo Library, Lael, Randy and Michele, and everyone else who helped make it a success!
